For me Hespeler Road, Cambridge, Ontario is a diorama, a sliver of a dying car culture — frozen in time. Fast Eddie’s restaurant, a local burger chain with a self conscious branding, is a cultural icon on the strip. Its blistering yellow and read/orange concrete blocks rise from the landscape like a Lego pimple.
Weed lines
This is part of a series of LowFi photos of the business strip of Hespeler Rd. Cambridge, ON Canada. It reflects the unbridled consumerism that seems to be linked to automobile use.
Three trees
I pass this way on my route to work four mornings a week. These trees always seem resigned to their situation.
